Is it inevitably time to move to something else?

Sorry, haven't logged in here in a while, and just came looking for hints on what to do about v7.02.07 not working with PHP7. Having just read the Where is everyone? post, I would like to ask those left here their opinion on whether holding out hope for Fusion v9 or whatever its now intended version is to be, for any long term v7.02.07 extended support to keep it relevant, etc., or is the painful reality such that we/I should just find another platform to move to?

I have experimented with others, like WP, PHPBB, and while they worked well I have not been able to escape my much preferred look and feel, ease of use, overall comfortable familiarity, etc., of PHP-Fusion.

I'm an end user of PHP-Fusion, and don't know development or programming to be able to tweak any of current v7.02.07 code myself, nor infusions that may start breaking in the future.

I do think there's an unspoken reality staring me in the face. I guess I want to know if the more experienced people who know PHP-F under the hood see the same thing.

I am in the same position that you are in and I also am starting to believe that it is time to give up on php-fusion. There seems to be little or no progress, and support is pretty much gone. It is too bad because I thought 7.02.07 was a very good version and could have worked well just upgrading it rather than trying to re-write a whole new platform. Not to mention that version 9, as it stands is way too complicated for most end users. I will keep checking back, but don't hold out much hope.

I kind of hope someone will take 7.02.07 and upgrade/refresh it as an alternative to waiting to see what the end product v9 will look like, or rather when it will release. So far I've opted to stay the course with v7.02.07 as is, but as soon as my host forces PHP7 on me, my site will break.

Is there an English version of the readme?

My Site run today on PHP 7.2.8 with my own project. I use a modified PHPFusion 7.02.07. It is my own "private" project and i call it HP-Fusion. Databasedriver is PDO. The project is with english and german locale, but my website is in german. My english is very bad, sorry. With all the modifications you can NOT update a website with PHPFusion 7.02.07 but you can update a website with the version of the german nss site.

You can find my website here: https://harlekin-power.de
